A current popular trend is for people to make their own Long Island invitations to various events, even their weddings, so you could make your own. You could also opt for professional Long Island invitations which do cost a bit more money, and can cost a lot more money depending on the type of invitations you choose. They might not get the message for some reason, and they might feel a bit hurt that you didn't contact them in person. Some people also don't feel like it's good etiquette to attend certain events without a formal invitation.
